Obviously it took me almost 4 years to find a good eye primer! I'm happy to say I finally found one! Now if I could just find something to make my giant pores completely dissapear. Sometimes it takes some shopping around before you really find something that works for you. So this is a bit pricier, but it is completely worth the extra money because it works for me! If you're having trouble finding an eyeshadow primer that works for your oily skin, I'd recommend this one. Urban decay Primer potion is 20$ for 0.37oz. Well around midnight I went to take my makeup off and my shadow still looked great! No creases! I was overjoyed. Applied this primer and a dark smokey purple eye.
I'm happy to say this product actually worked for me! I finally peeled my sick self out of bed at 3pm (omg) yesterday and showered and got myself together. I just make sure i do a thorough swipe across the lid and blend it out with my finger. Some reviews I read have said that makes it hard to tell where you've put it but I haven't had a problem with that. The product is white but becomes invisible almost immediately after you put it on. Cue this gift from the heavens: NARS Pro-Prime Eyeshadow Base. Anyway, I've been using that for over a year and decided these are the oily eyelid cards I've been dealt! Still, I longed for an eye primer that would keep my shadow looking fresh for as long as I wanted. Which still isn't great, but I took what I could get. I was about to get about 3ish hours of wear with minimal creasing.
These primers would work for me for about an hour or so then my oily skin would win and I'd have major creasing.
I went to the drugstore, tried L'Oreal Decrease, nothing. Then I tried the "Eden" version and that did nothing. MAC Paint Pot In Painterly is highly pigmented eye colour that goes on creamy but dries to an intense, vibrant finish. All I kept seeing was rave reviews on Urban Decays Primer Potion.
